Cities don’t get much more Bohemian, and wandering through Prague on foot, crossing from one side of the Vltava river to the other beneath the towers of the awe-inspiring Charles Bridge, it really is possible to feel history. That said, Prague is very much a city making up for decades of lost time as a former Soviet Bloc satellite. These days its 1.2 million citizens want to experience life to the fullest, so culturally and entertainment-wise this is a city that knows how to entertain you. It’s no real surprise then that over four million drop by as visitors during the year, especially as it’s been recognised since 1992 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
From the Old Town Square to Prague Castle, Wenceslas Square to the streets of New Town, Prague is waiting to show you a great time, and a lot of history.
